The Department of Pharmacy at the Women Institute of Learning (WIL) marked World Pharmacists Day 2025 with enthusiasm, focusing on the theme Women in the Pharmacy Profession. Dr. Azhar Khan Jadoon, Managing Director of WIL, served as the Chief Guest, while notable speakers included Dr. Afifa Saghir (Australian Registered Pharmacist and CEO of Global Healthcare Academy) and Dr. Sidra Essa (WIL Alumna and Foreign PhD Scholar), who provided valuable insights and inspiration throughout the event. The celebration commenced with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by the Chief Guest, followed by a heartfelt recitation from the Holy Quran. The guest speakers presented engaging talks on the changing landscape for women pharmacists, sharing their professional experiences, global viewpoints, and motivational messages for students. Dr. Azhar Khan Jadoon praised the Department of Pharmacy for its proactive initiatives and underscored the essential role women pharmacists play in enhancing healthcare systems globally. The festivities included a cake-cutting ceremony, a skit, and an exciting poster competition that highlighted the creativity of the students. Awards, including prizes, certificates, and shields, were given to honor the enthusiasm and efforts of the participants.
